The
Riding
The riding rates 2/3
out of 5 for difficulty and fitness. Riders need to be
cycling fit and be riding 3-4hrs per week, have good bicycle handling skills.
Distances covered daily are approximately 50-70km with a
riding time of 3-4 hours. The terrain is a
combination of dirt and tar roads with some sections
of jeep track and foot paths. It is undulating on the
first day, the second day has hills then flats then a very
steep climb up the mountain, the third day has a long
decent and then farm and gravel roads. Our backup
vehicle is on hand to pick you up if you want to rest.
Bikes
This bike tour can be
done on any type of mountain bike that is well
maintained and in good condition. Thorns are plentiful

either tubeless tyres with lots of sealant, or thick
tubes with sealant and tyre liners. We stock extra
thick tubes with sealant which can be purchased.

bike rental
service at R100 per day of good quality entry-level mountain bikes
with front suspension . Bring own
pedals and shoes.
